MechLands Vibe 108 Mechanical Keyboard Review - Unboxing

The MechLands Vibe 108 is a full-size hot-swappable tri-mode mechanical keyboard with dedicated multimedia buttons and a volume knob. The Vibe 108 features customizable south-facing dynamic RGB lighting and a massive 10,000mAh battery. I’ve been using this keyboard for around two months, and here’s my full review discussing its design, performance, battery life, and value for money.

Unboxing

In the box of the MechLands Vibe 108, the first thing you get is the keyboard itself, covered with a plastic dust cover for protection. Alongside it, there is a user manual, a keycap and switch puller, two extra Cream Mint switches, and a high-quality braided USB Type-C cable for wired connectivity and charging.

That’s everything included in the MechLands Vibe 108 package.

Design and Build

The MechLands Vibe 108 is a 100% full-size keyboard featuring 104 keys, a dedicated number pad, multimedia controls, and a volume knob. On the top-left side of the keyboard, you’ll find four indicator LEDs for Num Lock, Caps Lock, Scroll Lock, and battery status. There is no visible branding on any side of the keyboard, which gives it a clean and minimal look.

Media Control and Numpad

On the top-right side, there are dedicated media controls for Previous Track, Play/Pause, and Next Track, along with a volume knob. Below them is a full-sized numpad, which is great for productivity and everyday work.

The keycaps feature a white and blue color combination, and the keyboard is available with either Vela Silent Switches or Cream Mint Switches.

On the front edge, there is a connectivity switch, a Windows/Mac mode switch, and a USB Type-C port for wired connectivity and charging. Both side edges feature RGB light strips that add a proper gaming vibe and make the keyboard look great in a clean desk setup. On the back, there are two height-adjustment feet, while the center section features the brand and model name.

As for the build quality, the case is made of plastic, but it feels surprisingly premium while holding and typing on it. Even when pressure is applied to the case, there is no noticeable flex or wobble. Overall, the build quality feels solid and well-made for its price range.

Switch/Keycap and RGB

Cream Mint Switch & Keycaps

The Vibe 108 features a hot-swappable PCB that supports both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches without requiring any soldering. You can choose between two switch options: the Vela Silent Switch, which is ideal for quiet typing in offices and shared spaces, and the Cream Mint Switch, which features a 45g actuation force and delivers a satisfying thocky sound with responsive feedback on every keystroke.

Both switch options are rated for up to 100 million keystrokes and come factory-lubed for a smoother typing experience. The keycaps feel soft to the touch and provide a comfortable typing experience, even during long typing sessions, without causing finger fatigue.

The MechLands Vibe 108 features RGB backlighting with 16.8 million colors and dynamic lighting effects such as Wave, Ripple, and per-key customization. Combined with the RGB light strips on both sides of the keyboard, it delivers a complete gaming aesthetic. You can customize the lighting effects and colors using keyboard shortcuts like FN + Insert/Home or through the dedicated software.

The RGB lighting is bright enough to remain clearly visible even in well-lit rooms.

Connectivity and Battery Life

The MechLands Vibe 108 features tri-mode connectivity, including Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB wired modes. The Bluetooth mode operates at a 125Hz polling rate, while both the 2.4GHz wireless and wired modes support a 1000Hz polling rate.

According to MechLands, the keyboard offers a latency of around 2ms in wired mode, 5ms in 2.4GHz wireless mode, and 11ms in Bluetooth mode. In my testing, I mostly used Bluetooth mode for everyday work and didn’t notice any glitches or typing delays. While gaming, there was a slight delay in Bluetooth mode, but the 2.4GHz wireless mode performed flawlessly and provided a much more responsive experience.

As for battery life, the Vibe 108 packs a huge 10,000mAh battery. In my testing, with RGB lighting enabled and regular daily use, it lasted up to 12 days on a single charge. With the RGB lighting turned off, the keyboard can easily last around a month.

Overall, the battery life is excellent and makes the Vibe 108 a great choice for both gamers and office users who want long-lasting wireless performance.

Performance and My Experience

This keyboard features a gasket-mounted structure and a five-layer sound-dampening system, which provides a superior typing sound, reduces vibrations, and enhances the overall acoustic performance.

The five-layer design includes a PC plate, PO sandwich foam, IXPE switch pad, PET sound-enhancement pad, PCB, EPDM bottom foam, and a silicone bottom layer. Together, these layers help create a clean, satisfying thocky sound while minimizing unwanted vibrations and noise.

As for my typing experience, the full-size layout fits my fingers naturally and provides a comfortable typing angle. Even during long typing sessions and extended gaming sessions, I didn’t experience any noticeable wrist strain. Every keystroke feels responsive, smooth, and satisfying, while the sound profile adds to the overall enjoyable experience.

Final Thought

After using the MechLands Vibe 108 for around two months, I can say it is a well-rounded mechanical keyboard that offers a premium experience without any major compromises. The combination of a full-size layout, hot-swappable switches, tri-mode connectivity, vibrant RGB lighting, gasket-mounted design, and a massive 10,000mAh battery makes it suitable for both gaming and productivity.

What impressed me the most was the typing experience. The Cream Mint switches provide a satisfying thocky sound, while the multi-layer sound-dampening structure helps create a smooth and refined feel with every keystroke. The full-size layout is comfortable for long work sessions, and the dedicated media controls and volume knob add extra convenience to everyday use.

The battery life is another standout feature, easily lasting days with RGB enabled and up to a month with the lighting turned off. Combined with reliable wireless performance and a solid build quality, the Vibe 108 feels like a keyboard designed to last.

At around $90, the MechLands Vibe 108 offers excellent value for money. Whether you’re a gamer, content creator, student, or office user looking for a feature-packed mechanical keyboard with great battery life and a satisfying typing experience, the Vibe 108 is an easy recommendation.
