The ZIIGAAT Rumba is a $35 in-ear monitor featuring a 10mm graphene driver, co-developed with popular Mexican audiophile reviewer Vivir Digital. I received my unit from Kiwi Ears, and today I’ll break down its bass, mids, and overall balance to see if it’s truly the best budget collaboration IEM on the market.

Design and Build Quality

As for the design, the Rumba features a striking aesthetic with a glossy black ergonomic shell paired with a bold red faceplate, decorated with sleek black vertical lines. To highlight this special collaboration, the right earpiece displays a silver Vivir Digital “VD” logo, while the left earpiece features the classic ZIIGAAT branding. Both sides house standard 2-pin connectors for easy cable swapping.
Inside that stylish shell, ZIIGAAT has equipped the Rumba with a top-tier graphene dynamic driver, a material that acoustic engineers consistently praise as the absolute best for diaphragms. The overall build quality feels absolutely premium while remaining remarkably lightweight in the ear.

The included 1.5-meter cable is also high quality, featuring a 3.5mm audio jack alongside an inline microphone and volume controls situated on the right side of the wire. This premium-grade, all-black cable perfectly matches the earpieces, tying the whole look together. Overall, the design and build quality are exceptional for a budget IEM price point, especially considering this is a co-developed product.
Audio Quality & Sound Profile

The Rumba’s dynamic driver utilizes a new dual-cavity design that provides better control of airflow. This ensures more consistent pressure and enhances the responsiveness of the diaphragm. It delivers a punchy 10dB boost in the sub-bass, and for enhanced clarity and airy treble transitions, it uses a 2.8kHz compensation to perfectly match the natural hearing perception of the human ear.
In my testing, the sound profile is fantastic. The bass is beautifully balanced and the treble sounds great. While the mids sit a bit low, they still provide a smooth, balanced throw. The overall sound clarity is truly top-notch and the instrument separation works brilliantly with no muddy mixing every single instrument feels distinct and easily recognizable. The vocals are clear and perfectly placed, never getting overshadowed by the backing music.
Even at full volume, there are absolutely no jitters or distortions, and the bass hits exactly how an audiophile wants to hear it. I previously reviewed the Kiwi Ears Cadenza II, which I thought provided the best sound quality for the budget, but the Rumba actually surpasses it. I absolutely loved how it sounded across all types of music, delivering incredible bass, treble, and vocal clarity with zero compromises in audio quality.
Fit & Comfort
When it comes to comfort, the earpieces are very lightweight and do not feel heavy at all. However, I did notice that because of their slightly larger size, my ears experienced a little bit of fatigue and slight pain after wearing them for long listening sessions. Aside from that minor size issue, the overall comfort is good, and the soft, flexible cable is a joy to use.
Verdict: Is It Worth It?
For a budget price of just $35, the ZIIGAAT x Vivir Digital Rumba is an absolute steal and a massive win for budget audiophiles. It brings a striking, premium look with its bold red-and-black design, and the sound performance genuinely punches way its weight class. Thanks to the graphene driver and dual-cavity engineering, you get beautifully balanced bass, great treble energy, and exceptional instrument separation that completely avoids any muddy mixing. While the slightly larger shell might cause a bit of ear fatigue during marathon listening sessions, the overall build, lightweight feel, and inclusion of a high-quality mic cable make it incredibly practical for daily use.
If you are looking for top-tier audio clarity that even surpasses favorites like the Kiwi Ears Cadenza II, the Rumba is easily one of the best collaboration IEMs on the market right now. It gets a highly recommended stamp from me!
