Kiwi Ears Cadenza Build Quality

Kiwi Ears II is 1DD budget IEMs with 10mm Titanium Coated PET Dynamic Driver and KARS 2.0, it has 106dB, 1kHz sensitivity and 10Hz-29kHz Frequency response. Features 0.78mm/2 pin detachable 1.2 meter single-crystal copper cable. Cadenza II claims to provide exception tonal balance and High-end sound quality with tuned sub-bass, lush midrange and smooth treble, I am using it from weeks and in this article i will share my thoughts is it really what it claims or does it worth the premium tag under the budget price $50.

Unboxing

Kiwi Ears cadenza II items you get in the box

In the box you will get Cadenza II IEMs, 6 pairs of ear tips from smallest to large, 0.78mm 2-pin detachable 1.2 meter single-crystal copper cable, user manual. It not includes the carry case which must to have but considering the price it is not a problem.

Design and Build Quality

The Kiwi Ears Cadenza II features a sleek, ergonomic design that feels both premium and comfortable for extended listening sessions. The shells are crafted from a durable, lightweight material with a stunning deep blue metallic finish that shifts beautifully under light. Each faceplate is adorned with an elegant white ornate floral/scrollwork pattern, giving the IEMs a distinctive and artistic look that stands out from typical budget options. The Kiwi Ears branding is cleanly printed on the side, adding a subtle yet classy touch.

In terms of build quality, the Cadenza II has aerospace-grade CNC Aluminum faceplate feels solid and well-constructed. The shells have a smooth, polished surface with no visible gaps or rough edges. The nozzles are properly angled for a secure fit, and the overall construction inspires confidence that these will hold up well with daily use. Despite being an entry-level IEM, Kiwi Ears has managed to deliver a design that looks and feels significantly more expensive than its price point suggests.

Fits & Comfort

The Kiwi Ears Cadenza II features an ergonomic ear contour with a lightweight and tailored shape that provides a pressure-free yet secure fit. I used the second-largest size of the included ear tips, and they sat perfectly in my ears from the very first insertion. Even after several hours of continuous listening, I experienced zero ear pain, itching, or that heavy, tired feeling you often get with wireless earbuds. The shells are so light and well-contoured that they almost disappear in the ears during long sessions.

Overall, the Cadenza II delivers excellent comfort, making it one of the most fatigue-free IEMs I’ve used in this price range. It’s genuinely comfortable enough for all-day listening without any discomfort.

Sound Quality

The Kiwi Ears Cadenza II is equipped with a 10mm dynamic driver featuring a titanium-coated diaphragm and the brand’s proprietary KARS 2.0 Resonance System. This setup delivers an 8dB bass boost that precisely cuts off at 200Hz, resulting in a well-controlled and impactful low end.

In my testing, the overall sound signature is rich, refined, and surprisingly high-end. The tonal balance is excellent, with lush and natural mids, smooth yet detailed treble, and powerful, textured sub-bass thanks to the KARS 2.0 system. Instrument separation is outstanding you can clearly distinguish each instrument even in complex tracks. The sound remains clean and composed even at higher volumes, with no distortion, jitter, or harshness at full volume.

Overall, the Cadenza II does not feel or sound like a budget IEM. It delivers a premium listening experience with impressive technical performance and musicality. I genuinely loved how it performs across different genres.

Final Thoughts

After using the Kiwi Ears Cadenza II for several weeks, I can confidently say that it lives up to its claims. It delivers a refined, musical, and surprisingly premium sound signature with excellent tonal balance, textured sub-bass, lush mids, and smooth treble all while maintaining strong technical performance like great instrument separation and clean playback even at high volumes. Combined with its beautiful design, solid build quality, and outstanding all-day comfort, the Cadenza II stands out as one of the best budget IEMs currently available. At just around $50, it offers exceptional value and easily punches above its price tag. If you’re looking for a stylish, comfortable, and great-sounding IEM without spending a fortune, the Kiwi Ears Cadenza II is highly recommended.
